For my very first CDD project and Linky Party I made this shaker card:

layers

This one is a window card with some added shaking action! I used a whole bunch of diecuts, sequins and little critters, all used prodcutes are down below. See the layers? I don’t do laters very well haha, I’m too much of a minimalist I suppose…

My Natures Wonders Project 🙂

For this card I inked a background and added some handcut hills from diffrent kindsof green cardstock. I used some sequins as little flowers. Then I added my critters from the Just Bugcause stamp set with some craft foam. To mirror the little caterpillar I used Jan’s tutorial. The sentiment comes from the Home Sweet Home stamp set.

Hi everyone, this is a post for the Craftin Desert Divas Design Team with a project that reminds me of spring time! You know how I love making backgrounds and today I have a stripey one for you! I like to go easy on colors and not using to many in one project. Today I used white embossing powder to create my flowers and leaves. After melting the powder I thought they looked a bit flat so I colored them in with my Copic Markers to give them a little depth.

To let the sentiment stand out I used black cardstock. I really like CDD’s “Hello’, which can be found in their awesome Pocket Pieces Hello dieset. The second part of the sentiment comes from the Garden Cuties stamp set.

I’m quite happy with how this turned out! I prefer my designs simple and these little parts were perfect for that! 🙂

Can I tell you something? I’m not the romantic kind AT ALL! I do like pink though 😉

CDD LP 8 feb_wm

For this card I did some ink smooshing! Well that was a first! Then I added the sentiment with white embossing powder and added this adorable bear. Since it is a digistamp I was able to simply print it in the size I wanted. Good stuff for control freaks like me! Then all it needed were some sequins!

For this project I have panda’s for you!

LP25januari

For this card I used circular diecuts so I was able to make an inlay. The white circle I made of copic marker paper so I could stamp the background and color it with copics. Then I added these cute panda’s and a sentiment 🙂

Quick project with CDD Panda Pals

Hi everyone, this is a post for the Craftin Desert Divas Design Team with a quick project to share with you today. It had to be quick since I almost missed my deadline, oops! Good thing I had this Distress ink background on hand. After the blending, while the ink was still a little wet I sprinkled some Artemio transparent, glittery embossing powder al over it then heated it with a craft tool so I ended up with glitter all over! 🙂

First I thought I should use white stars and sentiment but I was just to bright. I really like contrast so I decided on black and with the white “backgrounds” those stars and “hello” really pop! The stars and the “hello” are from the Pocket Pieces Hello diecut-set. I really like the diecuts they cut through my paper perfectly but the don’t cut as deep as some other dies leaving these deep cuts into my BigShot clear plates!

The panda bear is the biggest one from the CDD Panda Pals stamp set (which is my current favourite set actually) and I thought he would fit in nicely with the black and white 🙂

Shopping Copic Markers

Copic Markers are by far my most loved and treasured (because expensive!) coloring medium. I simply love the clean and finished look they give. Starting with Copics… Not so simple though! In upcoming blogs I would like to tell you more about how I went trough that process. From first buys (which ones to pick?!) and storage options to which ink and paper to use. It’s quite a lot to talk about!

Yesterday I went to my not-so-local art store (worth the drive!) to find myself some new colors. It was quite a spontaneous action and that’s the first thing I’d like to advise you: Think before you step foot in a craft or art store! 😀 I always black out once I see all those Copics…

Anyway, thanks to my photographed Hex Chart I was able to make some sane choices and I came home with these:

20160110_154036

Mostly greens, some browns and two brights. I prefer to use bright colors and I mostly had natural greens, so I wanted somewhat more bright green colors! Next to that I’m still surprised how much browns I ure. When coloring critters or backgrounds, they are so very versatile. The R56 and BG57 really spoke to me so I had to take them home.

What are your favourite Copic Colors? Do you make a plan before you shop? What kind of problems do you have with them? Let me know in the comments, there is so much to tell about these!

Have a great sunday,

Bianca
